Designed for staff support, our free Inservice Programs provide quick and easy tools for stress relief.

When staff can reduce their internal stress levels, the external stressors are more manageable.

FREE Inservice Programs

Each program teaches one user-friendly stress-relieving technique. Any of them can easily be integrated into a busy day.

We only need chairs, the chairs that your faculty and staff would sit in for any meeting. No special clothing or equipment is needed. Some activities are done seated with others done standing. Nothing will make you strain or sweat.

Everything can be done by anyone who can walk, and we can adapt most techniques for anyone who is mobility-impaired.

Averaging 60 seconds, any of these tools can be used between clients, classes or other tasks.  They can be done on a break or at home. 

All of our tools are drawn from the science of biofeedback, as well as modern research on the value of stretching, breathing and stillness.

Everything is easy, practical, non-sectarian, accessible to all and immediately effective. Everything can be shared with colleagues as well as clients of any background or faith, as they are all based on scientific research.

When scheduling is tight, just phone us!  We will do everything we can to accommodate you..

Yet planning ahead provides the best quality program, so please do try to contact us 2 or 3 months before your Inservice dates.

These free programs are a donor-funded public service offered by Downingtown Yoga & Meditation Center.

They were successfully used to introduce meditative techniques to hundreds of Coatesville public school teachers at Inservice Programs every month throughout the school year of 2017-2018.

About Us

Downingtown Yoga & Meditation Center is a not-for-profit organization based in Downingtown PA for almost ten years. We are committed to giving back to the community in which we live.

We are a 501(c)3 educational organization, headed by a swami (yoga monk) from an ancient order dedicated to education. Swami Nirmala leads us in serving others.

These non-sectarian yoga practices have been thoroughly researched and their benefits have been proven. We bring those proven tools to the people who need them most, those who are supporting the healing and growth process.
